- Monday (ELA/WRITING): Review of literal concepts (QUIZ: 2/5). What are the "small kingdoms" the speaker hears?
- Writing: Think of a time and place you felt deeply at home. How does this help understand the feeling the speaker describes? (Journal 3-5 sentences)

- Writing: Continue to work on metaphor writing assignment (peer editing)
- Journal: Identify two or three relationships that are important to you. What makes each a good relationship? What keeps your bonds strong when difficulties arise?
